Choose your assessment pathway

After determining your skills assessment program (OSAP or TSS), the next step is to select the pathway that matches your background.

Select your pathway based on whether you hold a relevant Australian qualification

OSAP & TSS
Pathways 1

for applicants who do not have an Australian qualification.

To apply, you will need to provide documentary evidence of your employment history, skills, and trade knowledge. We will review your evidence against the relevant requirements. If your application progresses, you may be invited to complete a technical interview and, where required, a practical assessment.

If you are successful, you will receive an Australian qualification for non-licensed trades and a Successful Skills Assessment Result Letter. If you are not successful, you may be eligible to apply for a review or reassessment (subject to the applicable rules and timeframes).

OSAP & TSS
Pathways 2

for applicants who have an Australian qualification.

To apply, you will need to provide evidence of your Australian qualification, as well as evidence of relevant work experience. We will assess your documents against the relevant requirements. If your application progresses, you may be invited to complete a technical interview.

If you are successful, you will receive a Successful Skills Assessment Result Letter. If you are not successful, you may be eligible to apply for a review or reassessment (subject to the applicable rules and timeframes).
